Whangape GroveJohn and Kathleen took a massive leap of faith in 2000 and decided to buy a large farm in order to transform it into the Whangape Olive Grove. Though the pair had many doubts and received input from many experts saying that the region was most definitely not an ideal choice for a successful olive grove; they persevered. 17 years later and their perseverance has paid off in ways they never imagined. The olive grove now grows 5 different Tuscan olive varieties with innumerable olive trees all producing large, juicy olives which are soon cold pressed into award winning extra virgin olive oil. This family grove showcases the adage of hard work paying off and with a little extra love, passion and commitment even the experts can be proven wrong!
